To make three-phase asynchronous motors on equipments for a long time, it is necessary to place it stably and make it operate smoothly. And It is important for us to find out the cause of motor vibration, otherwise motors would be damaged due to these faults. 1.Before motors are witched off, Checking the vibration of each part with vibration meter. For the parts with large vibration, test the vibration values in three directions: vertical, horizontal and axial. If the anchor screws or the bearing end cap screws are loose, tighten them directly. After tightening, measure the vibration and observe whether they are eliminated or reduced.

2.Secondly, checking the three-phase voltage of the power supply is balanced or not and whether the three-phase fuse is burnt out. The single-phase operation of the motor can not only cause vibration, but also make the temperature of the motor rise rapidly. Observe whether the pointer of the ammeter swings back and forth, and the current swings when the rotor bar is broken.

3.Checking whether the three-phase current of three-phase asynchronous motor is balanced. If any problem be found, ask the operator to stop the motor operation in time to avoid burning the motor.

If the motor vibration is not solved after the surface phenomenon is treated, continue to disconnect the power supply, unlock the coupling, and mechanically separate the load connected to the motor.

If the motor does not vibrate, it indicates that the vibration source is caused by coupling misalignment or load machinery. If the motor vibrates, it indicates that the motor itself has a problem.

In addition, the power failure method can also be used to distinguish between electrical and mechanical reasons. When the three-phase asynchronous motor does not vibrate or the vibration is reduced immediately at the moment of power failure, it is electrical, otherwise it is mechanical failure.
